Terry Lee Heldt Sr., age 76, of Britton, MI, passed away at ProMedica Charles and Virginia Hickman Hospital, on Monday, August 25, 2025. He was born on December 24, 1948, in Ann Arbor, MI, the son of the late Russell Stanley and Dolores Mae (Skiff) Heldt. On October 17, 1978, Terry was joined in marriage with Margaret Kay Anderson at the Monroe County, MI, Courthouse and they enjoyed over forty-six years together before his passing.

Terry spent his working career in the industrial field as a factory machinist. At home he enjoyed employing his skills in woodworking, and he was always willing and able to work on and fix anything mechanical.

In addition to his wife, Margaret, Terry is survived by his six sons, Larry Jewell of Jackson, MI, Terry Heldt Jr. of Maybee, MI, Jerry Heldt of Ann Arbor, MI, Garry Heldt of Riga, MI, and Jonathon and Charles (Krista) Jewell, both of Adrian, MI; twelve grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; his brother Richard (Pam) Heldt of Milan, MI, and three sisters, Linda (Tom) Moore of Britton, MI, Vera (Tom) Hawkins of Tecumseh, MI, and Patty (Donnie) Hewitt of Tipton, MI. Terry was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Roy Heldt.

At his request, cremation has taken place. The family will hold a Celebration of Life for Terry at a later date. Memorial contributions in Terry's honor may be made to the family.

As a young boy in the 70s I have good memories of Terry taking me with him on many occasions as he farmed the fields in the Milan area on the Farmall 806 tractor I remember it just like it was yesterday .Rest now in the presence of the lord . Sincerely Bill Bies
