Terry Krause, age 74, resident of Altus, Oklahoma, passed away Monday, January 1, 2024 in Lawton, Oklahoma. Military Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, January 9, 2024 at the Fort Sill National Cemetery in Elgin, Oklahoma with Military Honors rendered by the United States Air Force, Shepherd Air Force Base Honors Detail.
Terry Dennis Krause was born in Los Angeles, California on September 7, 1949 to his parents James Albert Krause and Robbie Joe Alice (Degroff) Krause. Terry graduated high school at the age of 17 and shortly after high school he volunteered for service in the United States Air Force. During his enlistment in the Air Force, Terry worked in Aircraft Maintenance and attained the rank of Master Sergeant and after over 20 years of combined service in the Air Force and the Air Force Reserves, Terry retired with an honorable discharge as well as numerous awards and decorations for service to his country and for his deployments during the Vietnam War and the Gulf War. On September 30, 1994, Terry married Patricia Gibson and they combined their families and lived in California for many years. Terry continued his Aircraft Maintenance work in the Civil Service and in 1996 the family landed at Altus Air Force Base, Altus, Oklahoma where Terry worked until he retired. Terry’s passion was working on airplanes, taking care of his family, and working on cars, especially his VW Beetle.
Preceded in death by his parents and his stepson, Walter Robbins; Terry is survived by his wife of over 29 years, Pat Krause, of their home in Altus; three sons, Jason Krause and his wife Mandy; Travis Krause and his wife Brandy; and Matthew Krause; stepsons, Daniel Robbins and John Gill and his wife Laraissa; two stepdaughters, Violet Carter and fiancé Steve Delong; and Charlotte Robbins; two brothers, Carrey Dana Krause; and James Alan Krause and his wife Teresa; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; as well as many nieces and nephews, other family members, and friends.
Arrangements are under the care of Kincannon Funeral Home and Cremation Service.
