A funeral service for Mr. Terry John LaBorde will begin at 1:00pm on Wednesday, July 2, 2025 at Kilpatrick’s Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Marksville with Pastor Michael Riddle officiating. A visitation will begin at 9:00am until time of service.
Mr. LaBorde, age 64, of Marksville, passed away on Sunday, June 29, 2025 at his residence. He is proceeded in death by his parents, Jessie and Maurena LaBorde; and one brother, Chad LaBorde.
Mr. Laborde was a Lineman and Lead Lineman at Cleco for 36 years, finishing the last 10 years training linemen as a Technical Specialist. He retired at the age of 62. A trusted mentor and skilled professional, he generously shared his knowledge with others throughout his career. In his free time, he enjoyed camping and bike riding with his family. From construction to jelly making, there was nothing he couldn’t do. He loved to cook for his many friends and family members. The whole family was always included in picking snap beans, tomatoes, and cucumbers from his beloved garden.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 22 years, Tabatha “Tabby” M. LaBorde; one brother, Scotty LaBorde (Becky) of Benton; one sister, Vickie Richardson (Charles) of Deville; four daughters, Emily LaBorde of New Orleans, Anna LaBorde of Marksville, Marla Drouin (Blake) of Mansura, and Mollie Dufour of Mansura; one son, Zechariah LaBorde of Marksville; three grandchildren, Lillie Anne LaBorde, Ruby Drouin, and Brennan LaBorde.
Kilpatrick’s Rose-Neath Funeral Home of Marksville have been entrusted with funeral arrangements.
