I can still see it like it was yesterday, living on 6th street in Carolina, I lived beside Steve Mayle, Nick Subshack, lived at the top of the street, John Banks, lived close to top of the street, Terry, and Jerry, lived in the first house going up the street on the right hand side, John Larry, lived across from Terry, and Jerry. Here we were, all of us close to the same age; Terry is two months older than I am. I lived on 6th Street until I was 11 years old. So here we all are hoping for a snow day every winter, and before long one would come along, first thing all of us would do is grab our old-fashioned sleds and go sleigh riding from the top of the street, you know when I look at that street today it's pretty darn steep I just we had a lot of nerve back then to be little kids. We made everyone who lived on that street angry because we would sleigh ride up and down that street until it was slicker than snot. We all decided one time to ride double, so Terry lay down on his sled to steer and I would lie on his back, we came down from the top of the street, by the time we got halfway down the hill we were going really fast for some reason Terry steered over too far where the cars were parked he went under the car but naturally I was sticking up too high and my head hit the bumper of the car and knocked me off the sled but Terry kept on toy all the way down the hill, when he came back to where we were I had a knot on my head the size of a goose egg and he looked at me and just started laughing and so did everyone else they thought it was funny so I started laughing too. Yeah, that's one of those fond memories I have always kept from back in those good old days. I just thought I would share that little story. I am so thankful I have these memories of the good times I had with Terry, even though we did not hang out together after we left high school, it doesn't take away the fact that Terry is still a big part of my life, and it was the best part of my life. I pray for Trudy, and the whole family that God will give them the strength and the courage to go through their time of loss, and to give them peace and comfort them, I pray in Jesus name, Amen
