Terry Richard Luhrs

Terry Richard Luhrs, 80, of Williston VT, passed away peacefully with family at his side, at the McClure Miller Respite House on August 3, 2025.
Terry was born on May 25, 1945 in Saugerties NY to Richard and Henrietta Luhrs. He graduated from Saugerties High School and earned an Electrical Engineering Technology degree from Hudson Valley Community College in Troy NY. He worked for IBM Field Service in New York City. After moving to VT, he worked for a post & beam kit construction company, a taxi meter electronics company and then Chittenden County Transportation Authority for decades as a bus driver until his retirement.
Terry is survived by his wife Susan, his son Justin Luhrs of Burlington VT, and his brother Bruce (Susan) of Weare NH. He was very close to his step-grandsons Kody and Adam Corbosiero. He is also survived by a large extended family of cousins, niece, nephew, step-children, and step-grandchildren.
Terry had a great sense of humor. He enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, camping, fishing, photography, construction projects and Bonsai art.
He will be dearly missed and remembered forever as a kind, gentle and loving man.
The Gathering for Terry's passing is private. His family kindly requests peace during this time.
