Terry Mackay Obituary
Terry Alvin Mackay (67) passed away July 30, 2023. He was born November 23, 1955, to Alvin Mackay and Alice (Murdock) Mackay.
Terry honorably served an LDS mission to Phoenix, Arizona.
He married Michelle Ricketts December 2, 1977, in the Salt Lake Temple. Together they had 3 children: Darcee, Marshall, and Clay.
His passions included sports, classic cars, horses, rodeo, and the Utah County Mounted Search and Rescue. Anywhere you look you can see Terry's craftmanship with his autobody & paint and his talent with braiding & leatherwork.
After the passing of his sweetheart Michelle, he was blessed with a second chance at love and married LuAnn on September 30, 2018. They enjoyed 6 great years together before his time was cut short after a valiant and brave battle with cancer. Terry loved spending time with his grandchildren; they put a smile on his face and a sparkle in his eye.
He is survived by his wife LuAnn, his daughter Darcee (Casey) Shepherd, son Marshall Mackay, son Clay (Rachael) Mackay, and grandchildren Cajun Shepherd, Trey Mackay, Emrie Mackay, and Ryker Mackay.
A viewing will be held Monday August 7, 2023, from 9:00 to 10:45 am at the Mona LDS church located at 65 West 800 South in Mona, Utah. Funeral services to follow at 11:00 am. A brief luncheon will be held before traveling to the Valley View Memorial Park at 4335 West 4100 South in West Valley City, Utah. Graveside services to be held at 2:30 pm.
