Terry was my first supervisor back when I was in high school and started refereeing Community Center youth basketball. He was always a fine gentleman and fun to be around. Through the years we continued to talk whenever we ran into one another. It was always enjoyable to catch up with him and he will be missed. He left many memories that make me smile.

I'm one of the lucky students that got to spend time in the gym with Mr. McBride at Plymouth Elementary, and then on the softball field being coached by him for several years. I enjoyed all the time I spent with him.
He was always so much fun, and I can't remember a time there wasn't a smile on his face. Certain people stick in your memory as time moves on and Mr. McBride is one of those people for me. My deepest condolences go out to his family and friends. And my thanks to Mr. McBride for being such a wonderful teacher and coach. You will be dearly missed.

Mr. McBride was my fourth grade teacher and as teachers go, was one of a handful of favorites. He was a teacher, coach and mentor to many, and always had a mischievous grin, a twinkle in his eye, and an appropriate story or anecdote that fit what he was trying to teach. Looking back, it seems he had a knack for bringing out the best in his students and in so doing, he strived even harder to make a difference, to eack out a little more from us, at times more than we thought was possible . Many a cold winter day during recess, while we were in heavy coats, boots, and gloves, he would be out there in a light jacket and loafers acting as the quarterback for both teams, slipping and sliding to throw that last pass. It was both gratifying and heartfelt when my own children came home one day and exclaimed their substitute PE teacher (Mr. Mcbride) said he knows you, that brought back some great memories. Another generation that benefitted from Mr. Mcbride. Condolences to his family, I know he will be missed, but I’m pretty sure he caught that last pass.

Terry McBride was an incredible man with a heart of gold. He was my PE teacher at Plymouth, and his obstacle courses were legendary!!! He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. My thoughts and prayers are with Mrs. McBride, Kristin and Sean and their families as they mourn the loss of this wonderful man. Thank you, Mr. McBride, for your gifts and talents to MPS and all your students. You will be remembered fondly.

He was a wonderful mentor (our student-teacher supervisor- 47 years ago), colleague, and friend. Terry was a joy to work with and his sense of humor and joke telling stories were a delight to hear. One will never find a nicer man and it was a privilege to have known, learned and later worked with him. We were so lucky to have met him. Our condolences to his family.
