Terry Nissen

Terry Gene Nissen, 65, was born November 25,1957 to Clifford and Lucille Nissen in Spencer, IA.  Terry graduated for South Clay School in 1976 and started his career working for Spencer Municipal Utilities, a position he held for forty years.  Terry married Debra (Belken) on September of 1979.  They had three daughters Candace (Travis) McGuire; Alicia Nissen; and Stacey (Daryl) Boswell; 4 Grandchildren Kadence, Cooper, Ella & Jada.

 Terry also worked after hours doing construction and running a backhoe.  In Terry’s spare time, he had a love for motorcycles and cars. He strived to take family on vacations every summer & winter.  He loved taking his daughters snowmobiling.  Spending time with family & friends was very important to Terry.

Left to cherish are his wife and 3 daughters, Brothers Gerald; Ervin (Becky); Allen (Pam); Arlyn (Tracy); Cliff (Brenda); Todd; Sisters Marilyn (Dave) Ruehle; Gloria Allen; Audrey (Steve) Day; Verla (Rich) Grisham; and Paulette (Terry) Wilcox; Orville (Bonnie) Belken; Kevin Belken and many nieces and nephews.

He is proceeded in death by his parents; Chuck Meyers; Bill Meyers; Jeanie Stone; Richie Nissen; Sharon Nissen; Ruthie Allen; and Anthony Allen, Brennen Reynolds.

Tough Terry fought hard fighting cancer, he never wanted to give up.  The family would like to thank neighbors, family, and friends for prayers, kindness, and support.
