We gather to celebrate and remember the life of Terry A. Sanders, born on December 27, 1954, in Florence, South Carolina. Terry was a person of remarkable resilience and a charismatic light in the lives of everyone he met. It was his supportive and thoughtful nature that made him the pillar of strength for his family and friends. Terry spent his working years as a dedicated Sales Associate at Staples, where his charisma and diligence were greatly admired. "In the end, it's not the years in your life that count. It's the life in your years." Abraham Lincoln's words resonate deeply with the life Terry lived.
Terry's love for life was infectious. He was a fervent fan of the Yankees, and his love for music and the holidays were unmatched. He was the life of every family gathering, his laughter filled each room, and his stories left everyone in awe. Terry was a man who believed that the best things in life came from being around those he loved, his family and friends. His thoughtfulness extended beyond his immediate circle as he was a beloved uncle to a host of nieces and nephews, each of whom he loved dearly.
Terry is lovingly remembered by his children, Tyisha Sanders, Travis Sanders, and David Sanders; his grandchildren, Cory'on Harris, and Sanai Guinyard; and his siblings, Cynthia Gaskins, Rebecca Johnson, Carver Scott, Peggy Blaine, Walter Sanders, Franklin Jr, John Jackson, and Luari Johnson; and his sister-in-law, Starshon Jackson. He joins in rest his parents, Franklin Jackson and Eddie-Joe Cane, and his son, Terry Jr.
A viewing will be held on Friday, November 21, 2025, at Baker-Isaac Funeral Services in Bridgeport, Connecticut at 12:00pm, followed by the funeral service at 1:00pm. We invite all those who knew and loved Terry to join us in honoring his life.
As we remember Terry, we encourage everyone to leave memories and upload photos to the memorial page. Let us keep his spirit alive by sharing the moments that made him the extraordinary person he was.
