Terry Shenk

Terry Lynn Shenk, 65, of Front Royal, Virginia, passed away peacefully on November 27, 2025, after a hard battle with type one diabetes and dementia. Terry was born on May 24, 1960, to late Giles Ramey and Rosa Belle Ramey in Front Royal, Virginia. Terry began her first job at a nursing home in 1973 near E. Wilson Morrison Elementary School in Front Royal, Virginia. After graduating from Warren County High School in 1978, she went on to work full-time. Terry was a hard worker who took pride in her work and enjoyed going above and beyond to ensure her job was done sufficiently. Terry worked at Tony's Market, HY-WY Restaurant, Atlantic Research as a lead operator, Food Lion as a bakery and deli manager, Walmart's meat department, and Martin's as a bakery manager, from which she retired in 2015. She loved her customers and being around people. Terry even had her own small business doing catering and baking from home, known as 'Terry's Sweet Celebrations.' In 1995, she met Garry Shenk, and they wed in April 1996, going on to have one daughter, Samantha Shenk. After retiring in 2015, Terry spent her time enjoying sitting on the back porch, drinking coffee with her daughter Samantha, and watching hummingbirds, baking, cooking, gardening with her husband Garry, and enjoying company with family and friends. She also loved spending time with her daughter's dog, Precious. In addition to her parents, Terry was predeceased by her sister, Diane Hazel Brown; her aunt, Mary Jane Eckman; and her in-laws, Johnny and Shirley Shenk. She is survived by her daughter, Samantha Shenk; her husband, Garry Shenk; her stepsons, Cary Lee Shenk and Barry Ray Shenk; and seven grandchildren. Terry will be deeply missed by her family and friends. Her life was truly a testament to love and resilience, and her memory will be carried in our hearts forever.
