Christopher L. "Chris" Shenk, 61, of Mohrsville, PA, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, August 29, 2025 at Penn State Health - St. Joseph Medical Center, Bern Township. He was the fiancé of Patricia A. "Trish" (Wessner) Adam.
Born in Allentown, Chris was a son of Lynda L. (Grim) Shenk of Mohrsville and the late Wade R. Shenk, who died February 16, 2007. Chris was a 1982 graduate of Fleetwood Area High School and was most recently employed as a bar grinder at Carpenter Technology Corp., Reading. Prior to that, Chris was employed by Ashley Furniture, Reading, working as a maintenance mechanic for many years.
Chris was an avid outdoorsman. He had a passion for hunting, fishing and camping. He was a proud member of the Lenhartsville Fish and Game Association where he was a member of their board of directors and was currently serving as their Financial Secretary. Chris was also a motorhead and enjoyed restoring classic cars, riding his Harley's and attending car shows. Chris was known for his ability to fix things. If he couldn't fix it, it couldn't be fixed.
Along with his fiancé and partner of 18 years, Patricia, and his mother Lynda, Chris is survived by his children, Steven W. Shenk, Fleetwood, Derek A. Shenk, Fleetwood, Danielle C. (Adam), wife of Tyler Meckes, Hamburg, Zachary D. Shenk, Centerport; bonus son, Dustin D., husband of Brandy (Bennett) Adam, Shoemakersville; brother, Roger A. Shenk, Shoemakersville; sister, Wendy A. (Shenk) Milyo, fiancé of Thomas Snyder, Jr., Blandon; four grandchildren, Arianna, Bryce, Sophia and Liam; three step-grandchildren, Waylon, Aylin and Bryelle; and two nephews, Dakota and Parker. In addition to his father Wade, Chris was predeceased by his brother, Chad A. Shenk on January 2, 1989.
A funeral service to celebrate and honor Chris's life will be held on Friday, September 5, 2025 at 7:00 p.m. in Ludwick Funeral Homes and Cremation Care, Inc., 333 Greenwich Street, Kutztown, PA with Pastor Nate Herrlin officiating. Relatives and friends are invited to a viewing from 5:00 to 6:45 p.m. in the funeral home. Burial will be private in Zion Moselem Church Cemetery, Richmond Township.

Let us gather to share stories, laughter, and the love that he so generously gave throughout his life. His memory will continue to inspire us as we reflect on the joy he brought into our lives.
