Terry Smith Obituary
Terry was born on May 22, 1946 in Lincoln County, NC a daughter of the late Jacob Crowson Fox, Sr. and Berlie Fincannon Fox. She was a homemaker and a member of Landers Chapel United Methodist Church. Terry loved going to the beach.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Smith, Sr.; a brother, Jacob Fox, Jr. and a nephew Jerode Fox.
Survivors include her three sons, Richard Smith, Jr of Kings Mountain; Jody Smith and wife Tammy of Yadkinville; Dustin Smith of Gastonia; a sister, Rebecca "Becky" Black and husband Dennis of Lincolnton; seven grandchildren, Adam Smith; Cecilia Smith; Hillary Jones (Jonathan); Kayla Shealy (Michael); Megan Smith; Raiden Smith; Gage Smith and seven great-grandchildren. Also surviving are four nieces and one nephew.
The family wishes to express a special thank you to the nursing staff at Atrium Health - Cleveland and to nurses at Wendover Hospice House in Shelby for all of the care they provided for Mrs. Smith.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00PM on Tuesday, December 17, 2024 at Landers Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery in Lincolnton with the Rev. Robert Eng officiating.
The family will greet friends following the service.
