Our loving Mother, Grandmother, Daughter, Aunt and Wife Terry Lynn Swope age 75 was called home on April 22, 2025.
Terry was born on May 30th, 1949, in Portland Oregon to Ernest Cecil and Inez Basel Gray.
She fell in love and married the love of her life Gary Edward Swope Sr. August 7th, 1967, in Portland Oregon and then later Solemnized on March 26, 1993, in the Manti Temple forever eternalizing their love.
In her youth Terry was your typical 1950s Gal. Terry enjoyed her time at school along with her friends and could be considered your first ever “Fangirl”. Terry had a love of music that she passed down to the next generation. You would often find Terry listening to The Beetles, The Monkeys, Beach Boys, and Paul Revere and the Raiders.
Terry Graduated High School in Portland Oregon in 1967.Then moved to Germany with her husband who was stationed there. While in Germany terry welcomed their first-born child (their only girl) Karen Elizabeth-Anna.
Following being stationed in Germany; Her husband was then Deployed to Vietnam and terry moved back to Portland and welcomed their Second Born (first born son) Gary Edward JR.
Following her husband’s departure from the army two years later Terry had welcomed their third born (second born son) Ernie Charles.
In 1981 Terry relocated to Clawson UT. In 1993 Terry shifted towards a more permanent role, (Grandmother) following the birth of her first Grandchild. Terry then moved to Kingman, AZ in 1996
Within the last 25 years of Terrys life, she had been fulfilled in many areas.
Terry loved being a grandmother, she would spend many years between babysitting daily, having her grandkids live in her home, Terry was full of love and was more than happy to show it.
Terry was a loving and devoted wife, always standing by her husband Gary SR while he went through his several business adventures, ensuring he always had her support.
Terry Lynn Swope is survived by her Children. Karen (Kenny) Oswald of Las Vegas, NV, Gary Julie) Swope of Ferron, UT and Ernie (Shanna) Swope of Kingman, AZ. Her Sister Rose (Bobby) Turner of Seaside OR. Terry is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Ernest Cecil Gray and Inez Basel Gray; her husband, Gary Edward Sr; her grandson, Travis Rae Swope.
Services will be held at 3180 Rutherford St, Kingman, AZ. At the Church of Jesus Christ Latter Day Saints. The Viewing will start at 10AM, followed by Church Services starting at 12 pm.
Terry will be laid to rest on Monday, April 28th, 2025 @ 10:00 in the Orangeville City Cemetery in Orangeville, UT with a gravesite dedication. Arrangements are in the trusted care of Fausett Mortuaries where family and friends are always welcome and may share memories online at www.fausettmortuary.com.
