Terry Lee Thomas, age 76, of Maryville went home to be with the Lord, Monday, January 5, 2026. Terry was a proud veteran of the US Army serving in Vietnam and worked in the paint and body work industry for many years. Terry was a small engine mechanic working on his neighbors' lawn mowers and part time Flea Marketer on weekends at the Parkway Drive-in and Green Acres Flea Market site. He also worked in drywall and loved riding his motorcycle. He was an avid dirt car racer and drove Double Nickle Pinto "55" at Smoky Mtn Raceway.

Terry was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Irene Thomas Underwood; brother, Pete Thomas; grandparents, Wm. H. and Liddie Thomas and Maggie Emert; and multiple aunts and uncles.

He is survived by his children, Jason, Jessica, and Darrell (Stormy) Thomas; sister, Trenia (James) Higdon; brother, Tracy (Leighann) Underwood; nephews, Dr. Nathan Higdon, Daniel Higdon, Cody (Katy) Underwood and Alex Underwood; nieces, Athena Underwood, Carolyn Underwood; and aunt, Bobbie Smith.

The family would like to thank the staff of Lyonsview Health and Rehab in Knoxville, and dear friends, Paul Smith and Sherry Davis.

Funeral service will be held at 5:00 PM Saturday, January 10, 2026, at Miller Funeral Home Magnolia Chapel. The family will receive friends from 3:00 PM until 5:00 PM Saturday at Miller Funeral Home, Maryville.
