Terry Mack "Tex" Tunnell, 60, passed away at his home on Friday, May 16, 2025. Born May 3, 1965, he was the son of the late John William Tunnell and the late Willie Juanita Chenault Tunnell. On February 7, 1986, he married the love of his life, Angie Tunnell, and they spent 39 amazing years together. Terry was a loving husband, father, and papaw. Family was the most important thing to him. Any chance he was able to spend time with his grandchildren, he took it. They were the light of his life. In his free time, he loved to do things outside. He had a Chevy Blazer and an old model John Deere tractor that he spent time restoring. If he wasn't working on the blazer or tractor, there was always something else he was fixing up. He also enjoyed going hunting, and it didn't matter what he was hunting, as long as he got to go. Terry lived a full life, and he enjoyed spending time with the ones he loved the most. He was loved deeply by his family and friends, and his memory will forever be cherished in their hearts. Southern Funeral Home has the honor of serving the Tunnell family. Funeral Services celebrating his life will be held on Saturday, May 17, 2025 at 5:00pm at Southern Funeral Home. Visitation will also be held on Saturday prior to the funeral service from 3:00pm to 5:00pm at the funeral home. Bro. Tommy Byars will be officiating, with interment to follow at Wesley Chapel Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Luke Byars, Abel Byars, Marty Brassfield, John Heair, Josh Heair, and Andy Smith. Honorary Pallbearers will be Christopher Fedrick, Cole Tunnell, and Beau Tunnell. He leaves behind his wife, Angie Washington Tunnell of Houston; son, Lance Tunnell (Emily) of Houston; daughter, Lindsey Fedrick (Christopher) of Houlka; brother, Gary Tunnell of Houston; and grandchildren, Cole Tunnell, Beau Tunnell, and Mallory Fedrick. He was preceded in death by his parents, John William Tunnell and Willie Juanita Chenault Tunnell; and brothers, Randy Tunnell, Sammy Tunnell, and John Daniel "Bo" Tunnell.
