Terry Lynn Turner

Terry L. Turner of Gladewater went to his heavenly home on October 25, 2023 with family by his side.
He is preceded in death by his parents O.L. Turner and Nellie M. Turner, sister, Judy A. Hall, brother, Randy J. Turner, beloved best friend, Danna Turner and nephew, Cody Cook.
The third of four children, Terry spent much of his childhood, running the streets as a proud Gladewater bear. He spent most of his adult life working in the oilfield where he worked his way up from a hand on work over rigs to a company man to working overseas as a consultant. Terry loved everything Ford, especially Shelby Mustangs. He also had a passion for expressing his second amendment rights and enjoyed spending time at gun shows. He had a keen interest in snake identification and loved to teach others about the species.
One of the greatest joys he had was spending time with his grandson, Houston, watching him grow, learn and laugh. He was anticipating the birth of his granddaughter, Dallas, expected to arrive in January 2024. He will get to be her guardian angel now. He also loved spending time with his nephews on camping trips, scouting events, and road trips educating the boys about everything from cars to books to work to life in general. Terry loved life and lived it to the fullest. He loved his family, his friends, and his Lord.
Terry will be missed by so many people as he impacted every person that he met.
Left behind to treasure his memory are his son, Jared and his wife Andie Kay, their son Houston and soon to come daughter, Dallas, along with Terry's sister Brenda Turner Kelly, niece Kara Boyles, and husband Chris, niece, Kimberly Lively and husband Mark, nephew Jody Wilkinson and wife Rene, and a host of great nephews and great nieces, extended family and friends.
Visitation will be held at Welch Funeral home on October 31, 2023 from 5-7 PM. A Life Celebration®
funeral service at 10 o'clock in the morning on November 1, 2023 in the chapel of Welch Funeral Home with Bro. Chad Lee officiating. In lieu of customary remembrances, donations may be made to The Hospice of East Texas in memory of Terry.
The family extends heartfelt gratitude to the staff of Bradford House Assisted Living in Gilmer, Texas and The Hospice of East Texas for their kindness, support and love for Terry and our family.
