Grover Cleve Boyd was born August 16, 1953 to Earl and Betty Boyd. On September 6, 2025 he lost his battle with cholangio carcinoma and Hepatocellular carcinoma. He suffered renal failure and went home to be with his Lord and Savior.
He graduated from Henderson High School in 1972. He attended Tyler Junior College for a while. He then joined the family business of owning and operating convenience stores. From 1985 until 2013, Grover owned and managed Road Runner Superette #2 at the corner of Magnolia and Judson Road in Longview, Texas.
Grover loved watching the Cowboys, the Rangers, Longhorns, and NASCAR. He enjoyed talking about them with friends and family. He was a very kindhearted, humorous and caring man. He lived his life for God and his family.
Grover was preceded in death by his father Earl Boyd, mother Betty Boyd, and son Dustin Boyd.
He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Trena Boyd of Longview, TX; daughter Mechelle Jackson of Kilgore, TX; son Wesley Boyd and daughter-in-law Kayla Boyd of Louisiana; son Skylar Boyd of Longview, TX; grandson Solomon Mealer and his 2 children; granddaughters Kyla Jackson, Kalyn Jackson, and Khloe Watson; grandson Dylan Benton and granddaughters Mikayla Boyd and Kinsley Simpson; daughter-in-law Staci Boyd; and granddaughters Henly and Ruby Boyd. He is also survived by his sisters Karen Smith of Longview, TX; Becky Craig and brother-in-law Jimmy Craig of Henderson, TX; his sister-in-law Teresa Anton of Pilot Point, TX and many wonderful nieces and nephews.
A time of visitation will take place from 1:00 P.M. to 3:00 P.M. on Friday September 12, 2025 at The Cammack Family Welch Funeral Home in Longview, Texas.

I´m am so sorry for the loss of this wonderful man. Trena I´ll be praying for you and the kids. We had slot if good times. I wish I could be at the funeral but my heart will be with y´all. Hugs and love my friend.
