Betty Maclin

Betty Dorough Maclin passed away August 21, 2025, after an extended illness. Betty was born on February 17, 1932, in Grand Saline, TX to Earl and Jewell Dorough. She graduated from Tyler High School in 1949 and Tyler Junior College in 1951. While at Tyler Junior College, she was a proud member of the Apache Belles from 1950-1951. Betty worked in the banking industry for many years in both Tyler and Dallas, TX. She is pre-deceased by her husband Milt Maclin, daughter Lynn Sharaa, and brother Bill Dorough. She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Lee and Ventia Caudle, Sam and Lisa Caudle, Gary and Georgiana Maclin, Steve and Rhonda Maclin, and Glen Maclin. Her grandchildren include Austin Caudle (wife Anita), Sarah De Valdenebro (husband William Liebenrood), Rainey Grisham, Neeley Lewis (husband Landon) and Travis Caudle (wife Alana). Betty is the proud great-grandmother to 10 great-grandchildren: Aubrey and Tyler Caudle, Elena and Luca De Valdenebro, Sophie, Finbar, and Maisie Liebenrood, Brynlee and Blakely Grisham, and Trace Lewis. Betty's caring spirit, beautiful smile and contagious laughter will be immeasurably missed. Memorial services for Betty will be held at a later date.
