Funeral Service for Mr. Terry Van East, 81, of Alexander City, Alabama, will be Sunday, August 31, 2025, at 3:00 pm at the Chapel of Radney Funeral Home. Rev. Billy Coleman and Randy Anderson will officiate. Burial will follow in the Hillview Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Sunday, August 31, 2025, from 1:00 pm to 2:30 pm at Radney Funeral Home. Mr. East passed away on Thursday, August 28, 2025, at Brown Nursing Home. He was born on March 19, 1944, in Birmingham, Alabama to Julian Van East and Emma Frances Foshee East. He was an active member of Cornerstone First Global Methodist Church who enjoyed singing in the choir and being a member of the Beacon Sunday School class. Terry retired from Sherwin Williams after 35 years of employment, he loved his customers and could remember them by their paint colors. After retirement he developed a passion for collecting treasures and selling antiques at Longleaf Antique Mall. Terry was a loving father and grandfather who doted on his grandchildren. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Jenny Latimer East, sons, Bradley (Tammy) East, Michael (Beverly) East; grandchildren, Justin (Christine) East, Braxton East, Tiffany (Murphy) Mosley, Brittany East, Madalyn (Connor) Smith, Jordan (Keeley) Argo; great-grandchildren, Carter and Barrett East and sisters, Charlotte (Kent) Lashley, Jenny (Joe) Haynie. The family will accept flowers, or memorial contributions may be made to Cornerstone First Global Methodist Church, 310 Green Street, Alexander City, AL, 35010. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Linda Railey. Radney Funeral Home is honored to serve the family of Terry Van East.
