Terrylyn "Terry" White

Terry White, 76, of Virginia Beach passed away on Thursday, October 16, 2025 peacefully in his home surrounded by his family.
He was born on August 11, 1949, in Norfolk to his late father and mother, Medford and Onolova White. He is pre-deceased by his sister Linda Ralston and brother Glenn White.
He retired in 2009 from Hardy Building Corporation as President.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife Diana of 45 years and two daughters Tracy Pomo and her husband Brian of Virginia Beach and their children Sofia and Nicolas, and daughter Amanda Williams and her husband Braun of Virginia Beach and their daughter Riley, and brother- in- law Russell Ralston.
Terry met his wife Diana by chance at the Raven where their story begins. After that night they constantly ran into one another at other locations. Terry built up his courage to ask Diana out on a date. At the time she worked in a public library. He walked into the library, walked up to her and asked "Do I need a library card to take out a librarian?" It was love from that moment on.
They married on February 23, 1980. They later had two daughters. In his retirement years he took great joy in watching his grandchildren.
Terry loved to travel with his family. He was very fond of skiing, sailing and golf.
A funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m. Monday October 27, 2025, at Hollomon-Brown Great Bridge Chapel. Burial will follow in Chesapeake Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Sunday, October 26, 2025 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. A reception will be held at the funeral home after gravesite ceremony.
