Teves Pasana Escarcha

Teves Pasana Escarcha, a devoted husband, father, brother, and craftsman, passed away peacefully in August 2025. Born in Pio V. Corpus, Masbate, Philippines, Teves was one of six children born to Gregorio Escarcha and Leopolda Pasana. His early life was rooted in the rhythms of the land, working in coconut farming and embracing the values of hard work and family. On April 5, 1960, Teves married the love of his life, Corazon L. Escarcha. Together, they built a life filled with love, resilience, and devotion. Corazon preceded him in death on September 9, 2023, and their bond remains a testament to enduring partnership. In 1996, Teves immigrated to the United States, sponsored by his sister, in pursuit of new opportunities and to reunite with family. While in the U.S., he proudly sponsored his daughters, continuing his legacy of care and generosity. A tailor at heart, Teves possessed a remarkable gift for sewing and crafting clothing-his hands stitched not only fabric but also memories and meaning into every piece. He found joy in the simple pleasures: playing table tennis, tending to his garden, and cheering on his favorite NBA teams. Teves is survived by his seven children: Roberto (Charity) and their children, Roberto Jr. and Charles Edgardo; Antonio (Maria Teresa) and their children, Steve Anthony, Diana Kirstel, and Jake Steven; Gilbert (Helen) and their children, Jody Joy, Maggie, and Kris; Cecilia; Mary Carolyn and Abigail. He is also survived by his sisters Socorro, Carlota, and Armi, and his brother Renato. Teves was preceded in death by his parents, his beloved wife Corazon, and his brother, Fr. Vincentius. Teves leaves behind a legacy of craftsmanship, kindness, and unwavering devotion to family. His life was a tapestry woven with love, faith, and quiet strength. The family has entrusted Lowe-Neddo Funeral Home with the honor of caring for Teves. Visitation will begin at 10:00 AM on Thursday, August 14, at Lowe-Neddo Funeral Home, 4715 Margaret Wallace Road, Matthews, NC 28105. At 10:30 AM, Teves will be taken to St. John Neumann Catholic Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM. All services will conclude at the church.
