Tex Ritter Algeo, 86, of Panama City Beach, entered into the arms of his Lord and Savior on Sunday, September 21, 2025.
Born on May 18, 1939, in Barboursville, West Virginia, Tex was a gentle and humble soul who reflected God's grace in his life. Quiet and kindhearted, he was known for his ability to forgive and for never holding a grudge.
Tex had a lifelong love of cars and enjoyed working on them. Music was another of his greatest joys, and he cherished attending concerts and being involved with Todd and Angel's Theatre. One of the greatest blessings of his life was spending his final eight years in Florida with his daughter, Angel-years filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Jeanie; his children, Teresa and Jerry; his sister, Grace Marie; his brothers, Davey, Russel, Joe, and Jack; and his parents, Howard and Mary. Also, his beloved pet Cilla
Those left to cherish his memory are his daughter, Angel Herendeen (Todd); sons, Tex, Jr., Timothy, and Eric; lots of grandchildren and great grandchildren. Also remembering him are his stepchildren, Lesia, Teresia, and Buddy; his siblings, Howard, Jr., Betty, Ruth Ann, and Rosalie.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Tent Revival of America, www.tentrevivalofamerica.org.
A private family graveside service will be held at the Point Washington Community Cemetery.
