Mr. Tony Tex Truett, age 78, of Bremen, GA, passed away March 2, 2025 with his family by his side. He was born March 19, 1946 in Tallapoosa, GA to the late Claude Truett and Louise Gilbert Truett. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 47 years, Glenda Causey Truett; son, Tony Lyle Truett; sister, Linda Robinson; and brothers, James Truett and Van Truett.
Tex was a truck driver for Saddle Creek Logistics for over 30 years. He loved cars and motorcycles, especially Mustangs. He was a talented musician, who enjoyed singing and playing the guitar and the piano. Most of all he was a devoted family man and loving father and grandfather.
He is survived by his daughters and son in law, Stacey Setlock, of Carrollton, GA and Valerie and Lee Davis, of Bremen; grandchildren, Austin Verner (Emma), Aaron Verner, Isabella Davis, and Bradley Davis; great grandchildren, Kobee, Keanu, and Kaiba Verner; and brothers and sisters in law, Rex and Janice Truett, of Temple, GA, Johnny Ray and Denise Truett, of Temple; and Gene Truett, of Bremen.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 4, 2025 at 2:00PM in the Miller Funeral Home Dogwood Chapel with Dr. Corky Addison officiating. Gentlemen serving as pallbearers will be Austin Verner, Aaron Verner, Bradley Davis, Robbye Verner, David Truett, and Tony Truett. Honorary pallbearers will be Wayne Cause, Chris Causey, Ben Causey, Mickey Simpson, and Chris Rhoades. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday, March 3rd from 5:00 to 8:00PM.
