Lafayette: The Celebration of Life for Thaddeus Castille will be held on Thursday, January 9, 2025, at Kinchen Funeral Home in Lafayette, LA. Visitation begins at 9AM and the service will follow at 10:30AM.
On March 13, 1975, Thaddeus was born to Vivian Gunn Castille and John Gunn in Lafayette, Louisiana. After his mother passed away in 1981, he was raised by his godmother, Francis Ann Victor Singleton, alongside his aunt and a loving group of cousins and brothers; Kenneth, Mike Barrett, Juan, Derrick, Devin, and his sister; Dana. He also shared a bond with his brothers; John (Cheryl) and John-John, as well as his sister: Tori Gunn, from North Carolina, where his father was from.
Thaddeus leaves behind his beloved children: Joycelyn, Aspen, Lil Thaddeus, and baby girl: Brooklyn, 12 grandchildren, along with a multitude of nieces, nephews, and cousins who will all miss his laughter and presences. He was truly a remarkable person who touched many lives.
As he rests in peace and ascends to heaven, he will be reunited with his mother: Vivian, Aunt Shirley, Aunt Sandra, Aunt Jean, Uncle Bill, Aunt Alice, and his grandparents. We all recognize who he was and what he stood for.
We want you to know that you will be missed, whether in good times or bad. We love you, my brother, and you will always hold a place in our heart. You will be forever missed.
