Thaddeus C. “Ted” Golebiowski
Age 63 of Mokena, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, October 2, 2024. Ted was born in Chicago to the late Thaddeus and Harriet (nee Wopinski) Golebiowski. Beloved and devoted husband of Susan (nee Ferguson) Golebiowski; loving father of Kara (Joe) Marshall, Abby Golebiowski, and Grace Golebiowski; dear brother of Barbara (Jim) Aguirre and Steven Golebiowski; loved brother-in-law, uncle, cousin, and friend of many. Ted retired from the Chicago Board of Trade before opening and operating his Interstate Battery store in Oak Lawn. Ted enjoyed golfing, fishing, cooking, and watching his daughters’ sporting activities. He loved his wife and daughters deeply and that love extended to anyone who entered their home. Ted loved spending time with family and friends and would do anything to ensure everyone had a good time. Ted will be missed by all who knew and loved him. The family will receive friends at Kurtz Memorial Chapel, 65 Old Frankfort Way, Frankfort, IL on Monday, October 7, 2024, from 3 pm – 8 pm. Funeral Services will be Tuesday, October 8, 2024, with prayers at the funeral home at 9:15 am then St. Mary Catholic Church in Mokena, IL for Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am. Interment to follow at Good Shepherd Cemetery in Orland Park, IL. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.
