Thanh Diep Thi Nguyen, 82 of Metuchen, passed away peacefully on October 14, 2025, surrounded by her family at home.
Born in Saigon, Vietnam, she journeyed to the United States and through strength, sacrifice, and quiet perseverance, she built a new life with her family and made Metuchen her home in 1975. She spent many years working at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital Somerset, where she was known for her dedication and kindness.
Thanh Diep was married to Hoang Nguyen for 50 years, until his passing in 2015.
She is survived by her daughters, Trang Nguyen and Tara Nguyen-Dupuis, and her son-in-law Kenneth Dupuis. She was a devoted and proud grandmother to her cherished grandchildren: Amy (Tang) Brenneman and her husband Keaton Brenneman; Julien Dupuis; and Calvin Dupuis - each of whom brought immense joy and held a special place in her heart. She also leaves behind her niece Stephanie Nguyen as well as her siblings: Viet Nguyen, Nguyetanh Nguyen and her husband Tuan Tran, and Hung Nguyen and his wife Tuyen Nguyen.
She will fondly be remembered by many extended family members and dear friends.
The family will receive mourners attending the Buddhist Funeral Services on Friday, October 17, 2025, from 10:30 AM to 1:30 PM at Flynn and Son / Koyen Funeral Home. Followed by a procession to Rosehill Crematory for 2:15 PM.
The family of Thanh Diep extend their deepest gratitude to all who have shared their kind words, prayers, and comforting presence during this time of great sorrow.
