Thelma J. Adele

Alton:

Thelma J. Adele, 77, passed away at 8:22am on Wednesday, January 28, 2026, in the emergency room at OSF St. Anthony’s Hospital in Alton. She was born on July 13, 1948, in East St. Louis, the daughter of the late Everett and Helen (Pardieck) Way. She married Donald W. Adele on June 4, 1983, and he preceded in death on May 27, 2021. Survivors include three daughters: Tina Koke of Collinsville, Illinois, Gail Parker of Olney, Theresa Julius of Alton, two grandchildren, a special grandson: Christian Julius, a brother, and many other extended family and friends.

Thelma worked as a fitting room attendant for Wal – Mart. She loved bowling, reading, and watching Westerns.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her step – father, a daughter: Tammy Nadeau, a granddaughter: Kristen Tiemeyer, and a brother.

In celebration of her life, visitation will be from 9am to 10am on Wednesday, February 4, 2026, at Pitchford Funeral Home in Wood River. Burial will follow at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis.

Memorials are suggested to the Wounded Warriors Project and will be accepted at the funeral home.
