Thelma Beatrice Jobe Lewis was born August 25, 1931 in Nashville, Tennessee.  She was the second child born to Matthew Jobe and Eddie Mae Jobe Jackson who preceded her in death.  She was also preceded in death by her husband Waymon Lewis, Sr; sister, Mary Elizabeth Jobe Greer; children, Waymon Lewis Jr, William Kirk Lewis, Lloyd Harrington Lewis, Reginald Aorlyn Lewis, Michael Ford and Ernest Ford.   On June 14, 1946, Waymon Lewis Sr and Thelma Beatrice Jobe were joined in Holy Matrimony.  To this union, nine children were born; Waymon, Kirk, Nettye, Arthur, Frederick, Lloyd, Aurelia, Reginald and Michael.   Thelma was affectionately known as "Baby Sister"' and she was the matriarch of the family.   At an early age Thelma gave her life to Christ.  She was a faithful member of New Hope Missionary Baptist Church for over 60 years, where she was a member of the Golden Robe Choir and Usher Ministry #1 under the leadership of the late J.F. Gremitt and James Turner, Sr.   Thelma was educated in Nashville Public Schools. She was ambitious and with her resiliency and drive, she became an entrepreneur.  She was co-owner of a hair salon with her sister, Mary Elizabeth Greer, called Manue's Beauty Shop.  Thelma went to cosmetology school at Mae Samuels Beauty School where she earned her cosmetology license.   Thelma worked at Vanderbilt Medical Center in the newborn nursery.  She was an EXCEPTIONAL cook and loved cooking for family and friends. Thelma possessed a warm personality, strong character, generous spirit, friendly disposition with a ready hand and willing heart.  Thelma was fashion conscious, sharp, stylish and loved a nice high heel shoe and could wear a hat like no other!  She was feisty and would tell it like it is at all times, Thelma will truly be missed.     Thelma was a loving mother, grandmother, aunt, Gee Gee, and friend to many.   God saw fit to call Thelma home from this earthly life on Thursday, December 7, 2023, at the age of 92.  She leaves to rejoice in her life and to mourn in her death, her children; Nettye M. Hunt (Richard, deceased), Arthur W. Lewis (Betty - MI), Frederick J. Lewis, Aurelia J. Lewis and Michael A. Lewis.  Grandchildren; Sharonda, Demetria, Eric, Candice, Torrey, Chitquita, Kirk, Swatara, James, Shameka, Lavonda, Sheena, Sheree, ReSheena, Reginald Jr, Latoya, Myka, Jeremy, Ernest Jr., Michael, Toshica, Siobhan and Nina (deceased).  Great grandchildren (33), Great Great Grandchildren (12).  Devoted nephews; Eddie Jobe, Ronnie Greer, Sr. and Charles Greer.  Devoted cousin, Joyce Grandberry (IN), Devoted daughter in laws, Delores Fentress and Annette Lewis. Devoted cousin; Cornelia Baird (AZ). Numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.  Special friends; Sarah Leek, Louise Anderson, Monica Virgo, and Family
