Thelton earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Delaware.
For 36 years, Thelton was employed at the USDA's Farm Service Agency as a Manager. He retired on November 30, 2024.
Thelton's hobbies were bowling, fishing, and weightlifting. One of his favorite pastimes was attending his nephew's football games. He also enjoyed watching the Fast and the Furious Series.
Thelton was preceded in death by his father, Thelton Savage, Sr., and his uncle, Wilbert Savage.
Thelton leaves to cherish his memory, his mother, Barbara T, Savage; sons, Jaden Savage, and Dezmond Savage; his grandmothers, Catherine Savage and Ethel Pratis; grandfathers, Henry Smith and Joseph Thompson; brother, Darnell Savage, Sr.; nephews, Darnell Savage, Jr. and DaJon Copes; sister-in-law, Mitzie Copes and his aunt, Margie Cooke.
