Theodore Carlton Abbott Jr.

Theodore Carlton Abbott Jr, 82, of Port St. Lucie, FL passed away on Friday, March 11, 2022, at his home. He was born in Pleasantville, NJ to Theodore and Gladys Abbott.
Theodore attended Pleasantville high school in Pleasantville, NJ, after completing his GED he joined the United States Army in Germany where he was a fire chief in the fire department. He was in the Army the same time and year as Elvis Presley.
He returned home and began his career as a First Responder, EMT/Firefighter with NAFEC in Atlantic City, NJ. He later retired as a Federal Firefighter in 1989, at Homestead Air Force Base, Homestead, FL with 30 years of service.
Theodore met the love of his life, Joan Rosa his high school sweetheart where she attended, Ocean City High School, Ocean City, NJ. The two married in Pleasantville, NJ on January 4, 1963.
Together they raised 5 children in Pleasantville, NJ, and Marmora, NJ. Theodore was a member of Masonic Lodge, 32nd Degree, Northfield, NJ. He loved bowling, softball, and spending time at home with Little Teddy (Teacup Shih Tzu)
Theodore was lovable and caring for others.
He was predeceased by his parents, Theodore and Gladys Abbott, Sr., sister Sherry Charap.
He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Joan A. Abbott, and Little Teddy.
Children: Dean Abbott, Randy Abbott, Darrin Abbott (Valerie), Darla Wood, Ryan Abbott (Michelle).
Siblings: Saundra Stubbs (Robert), Gary Abbott (Shelly), Gladys Hasson.
Grandchildren: (16) Dean Abbott, Jr., Andrew Abbott, Randy Abbott, Jr., Michael Sincore (Angela), (Lauren Kilmer (Justin), Shannon Gibson (Tyler), Ashley Turner (Dalton), Courtney Abbott, Holley Abbott, Jeremy Abbott, Cheyenne Jordan Abbott, Faith Jordan Abbott, Hunter Abbott, Nick Abbott, Nathan Abbott, Jake Abbott.
Greatgrandchildren: (9) Ryleigh & Aubreigh Kilmer, Raelynn & Dallas Sincore, Lucas & Ledger Gibson, James Abbott, Ivelisse & Alanna Piffer.
A Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 16, 2022, from 12 pm - 2 pm at All County Funeral Home & Crematory, 1010 NW Federal Highway, Stuart, FL 34994.
