Theodore James Baker (Teddy) passed away unexpectedly on August 4, 2025. Teddy was born and raised in the Bronx, New York, until his parents relocated to Yonkers. He graduated from Lincoln High School and went on to study music at Mercy College in Westchester County, following his passion for creativity and the arts.

Wherever Teddy went, he was cherished by both family and friends. His smile was contagious, and his vibrant personality drew people to him with ease. He had a way of lighting up every room he entered.

Teddy had a number of passions, including basketball, music, motorcycles, and cars. He had a special gift for making people laugh and took pride in cutting hair, a talent he enjoyed sharing with others.

Teddy's heart belonged to his children. They were his pride, his love, and his greatest treasure. His love for them was unwavering. Above all, Teddy loved Jehovah. His faith was a guiding light throughout his life. In 2023, he dedicated his life to Jehovah and was baptized, a decision that brought him deep joy and peace.

Teddy's legacy is one of faith, love, and joy. While we eagerly look forward to the day Jehovah fulfills His promise to awaken our loved ones from sleep, we carry Teddy's memory in our hearts.

Teddy is survived by his wife, Maryam Baker; his children, Theodore (Teddy) Baker, Jr. (Sofia), Jacob, Amani and Noah; his parents Cynthia and Kevin Jones; his sisters Tyisha and Quatisha Baker; his brothers Richard, Dennis, Dwayne and Michael; his grandmother Cleo Baker; and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, Glenford Allen.
