Theodore "Bruce" Berran, age 89 of Tavares, Florida, passed away peacefully after a long illness, on Sunday, November 24, 2024.
Bruce was born in Brooklyn, New York in June 1935. He is the son of the late Gertrude (Haff) Berran and Theodore H. Berran.
Bruce was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 64 years, Mary (Sharpe) Berran. He is survived by his daughter, Carol Berran of Danbury, Connecticut, his son, Ted Berran and his wife Kathryn of DeLand, Florida, granddaughter, Jennifer (Pound) Sers and husband Christopher Sers of Brookfield, CT and grandson, Bryce Berran and his wife Cynthia of Jacksonville, Florida. In addition, he is survived by his great grandson, Conner Sers and several nieces and nephews.
Bruce was a kind and compassionate spirit. He made friends easily, was always ready to help someone in need and left people smiling wherever he went. He deeply loved and was loved by his family and friends.
A graveside service will be celebrated outdoors at Lakeside Memory Gardens, 36601 County Road 19-A North, Eustis, Florida on Tuesday, February 25, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. There are no calling hours.
