CROWN POINT, IN - Theodore "Ted" Bronowski, Jr., age 73, of Crown Point, IN and formerly of Gary, IN, passed away at home peacefully, on November 13, 2024, after a valiant fight against cancer. Ted was born on August 16, 1951, in Gary, Indiana to the late Theodore Bronowski, Sr. and Dorothy "Doris" Bronowski (Perunko). Ted was a loving son, brother, husband, father, and grandfather.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his loving wife, Toni Bronowski (Perez); beloved son, Christopher Bronowski; brother, Kenneth (Karen) Bronowski; stepdaughter, Stefanie (Matt) Miller; 2 granddaughters: Meah & Maddie Miller, and a host of family and friends.
Ted was a 1969 graduate of Andrean High School. He attended Ivy Tech and Purdue University. Ted worked as an Engineer Technician at the area steel mills for many years. He finished his career at ArcelorMittal and went back to work after a formal retirement. He was a hardworking man who truly enjoyed his work. In his free time, you could find Ted on a golf course, fishing, boating, or at his family's beloved lake house in Monticello, IN.
Ted was preceded in death by his parents, Theodore and Dorothy (Perunko) Bronowski; sister, Judith Bronowski, and his four-legged best friend, his black Lab, Scout. Friends may visit with Ted's family on Monday, November 18, 2024, from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Burns Funeral Home & Crematory, 10101 Broadway, Crown Point, IN. Funeral services will take place on Tuesday, November 19, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at Burns Funeral Home, Crown Point, IN. Rev. Thomas Mischler officiating. Toni and Christopher, I met Ted a long time ago when he'd bring his Mom to SS. Peter & Paul Church for Mass. I always was so proud of him for taking care of his Mom. He was a good guy; may he rest in God's peace. My sympathies to you and your family.
