Theodore (Ted) Brown, age 79, went to his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on February 19, 2026. Ted was born on September 6, 1946 to Dale M. and Mary J. Brown. He grew up in Marion, OH and attended Caledonia and River Valley schools.
He is survived by his wife of 56 wonderful years -Kay. (Their marriage was the fifth generation of Browns married more than 50 years.) Kay was his soul mate in every way.
He is also survived by his son Timothy (& Tracy) of Oklahoma City and by his daughter Pamela Snyder of Gallatin, TN. His grandchildren include Emma Kay Norman, Magnolia Snyder, Gideon Snyder, and Benjamin Snyder. He is also survived by his brother C. Michael Brown (& Carrie) of Hilliard, OH and his sister Connie (& Ron Doll) of Strongsville, OH.
Ted was a man of God: devoted to discipleship, small group formation and growth, and service to others. He coached more than two dozen pastors and wrote a book for Christian leaders with Rev. Doc. Andy Lunt.
Ted was an executive for DuPont, working 42 years full-time and 8 years part-time. He was a plant manager, leader of DuPont’s Quality Management Center, lean (improvement technology) champion for DuPont, and a subject matter expert in supply chain strategy.
Ted played basketball until age 73 and won a national bronze medal. With Kay, he enjoyed bicycle day trips, traveling world-wide, playing duplicate bridge (becoming a life master), ballroom dancing, and attending the theater.
Ted was a Christ-centered man, principle driven, intelligent, and a continuous learner. He shared his faith through his teaching, kindness and generosity.
Visitation will be Monday, March 2, from 4:00-6:30 at Hendersonville Memory Gardens and Funeral Home at 353 E. Main Street Hendersonville, TN 37075.
Tuesday, March 3, there will be visitation at 1:00 at the Christ Methodist Church at 118 Anderson Lane in Hendersonville, TN 37075 followed by a Celebration of Life at 2:00 PM. Internment will be in Bremen, Ohio at a later date.
