Hallowell- Theodore Albert ("Ted") Bryant Sr., 95, went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on November 16, 2025.

Born on October 7, 1930, Ted was a Maine farm boy. He grew up operating and fixing all kinds of equipment and trucks. His love of machines introduced him to motorcycles at 17 and he continued to ride well into his eighties. His skill as an operator took him from farm tractors to Trailways buses into NYC and beyond, to over-sized trucks on mountaintops in California and Canada, to operating the big crane at BIW, yep, the big red and white one.

Ted was always busy, but not so busy that there wasn't time to have 7 children; then he was busier. Ted led a very blessed life. As for all of us, it wasn't easy. Even so, Ted always had a joke, great story or a harmonica to entertain or teach anyone who would listen. Ted used to say, "He doesn't understand everything he knows about that." He always knew that applied to him too. It wasn't a perfect life, but it was a really good one.

Ted was predeceased by his parents, Percy and Gladys Bryant, a younger brother Charles and two of his sons Stephen Bryant and Ted "Rusty" Bryant Jr. The two women who made him a father have gone ahead of him as well. He is survived by his brother, James "Jim" Bryant of Wayne, and his children, Sally Wallace of Lewiston, Betty Bryant of Jefferson, Timothy Bryant of TN, Christopher Bryant of Oakland, and David Bryant of AL.

A celebration of life will be held someday, if all his wandering family ever sit still. We're a lot like him, busy. Until then, a small, brief celebration of his life will be held every time one of his five living kids, 17 grandkids, 26 great-grandkids and 13 great-great-grandkids draws a breath. Thanks Dad, we'll see you soon.
