He was born in Burlington, Vermont on March 5, 1963. The son of Bert and Mary (Prim) Downes.
Ted graduated from Lamoille Union high school in 1982.
He is survived by his sisters, Sandra Boyd Downes of Colchester and Roberta Downes of Burlington; a niece, Sara Downes; a grand nephew, Owen Downes; and a grand niece, Emily Downes. He was predeceased by his mother, father, and two older brothers, Bert R. Downes and John Downes.
A small private family service will be held in the spring.
