Theodore â??Tedâ? Geanis, devoted family man and loving person, passed away on October 11th at the age of 88. Born in Cambridge, MA, he was the son of the late George and Alice (Konides) Geanis. Theodore spent many years working in the electronic industry and in small electrical jobs before a much-deserved retirement. When he wasnâ??t at work or spending time with his family, Ted loved to be on the water, especially fishing in the ocean, and he was always up for a good game of cribbage.

Ted was an inspiration to people. He was â??The Rockâ? to his family and the communities he was part of. He had a full heart, and wished for everyone to feel they were loved and were a priority, no matter who they were. He was a devoted husband and father, and made sure his home was always filled with love.

Ted was the devoted husband of the late Rose (Giovino) Geanis. They were married on October 21, 1961, and lived happily until her passing in 2006. Those left to cherish memories of Ted include his daughter, Elaine (Carolyn Legg) Geanis; sons, Anthony (Donna), Peter (Valerie), George (Carla) and Ted A. (Jennifer Walters); grandchildren, Frank Call and Kristen Maxwell, Cassandra, Necole, and Christopher; several great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends. Ted is preceded in death by his brother Peter and his sister Bess Smith.

Visiting hours will be held in the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford, MA on Thursday, October 23rd from 4 to 8 pm. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. A funeral service will be conducted in the funeral home on Friday, October 24th at 10 am, followed by interment with his beloved Rose in Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
