Theodore Leash Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Beck Funeral Home & Cremation Service Inc. - York on May 31, 2025.
Theodore H. "Ted" Leash, Jr., age 57, of Lower Windsor Township, passed away peacefully on May 27, 2025, at WellSpan York Hospital. He was the devoted husband of Sarah A. "Sally" (Adams) Leash, with whom he shared 34 wonderful years of marriage.
Born in York, PA, on November 25, 1967, Ted was the son of the late Theodore H. Leash, Sr. and Myrna (Pentz) Leash. A graduate of Hempfield High School, Class of 1985, Ted began his career at Miller Metalcraft in 1987 as a TIG welder. His talent and leadership were quickly recognized-he was promoted to Shop Foreman in the early 1990s and later became a Project Manager in 2000. When Miller Metalcraft was acquired by Ira G. Steffy and Son in 2014, Ted continued his work as a Project Manager, earning the respect of colleagues and clients alike.
Ted lived in Lancaster for most of his life before returning to York in 2021. A true craftsman at heart, he took great pride in building his wife's dream home alongside their son. Outside of work, he cherished time spent with family and friends, especially camping and boating on the Chesapeake Bay.
In addition to his loving wife Sally, Ted is survived by his son Dalton Leash and girlfriend Savannah; his sister Debra Beckley and husband Kevin; his nephew Tyler Beckley and wife Abby; and his beloved four-legged companion, Madison. He was preceded in death by his nephew, Chad Beckley.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date to honor Ted's memory.
