Theodore G. Schieler

HOLIDAY, FL --- Theodore G. Schieler of 2104 Lullaby Drive passed away on August 10, 2024 at the Angels Senior Living in Dunedin.

Theodore was born February 9, 1940 in Olean and was the son of John Sabastian and Minnie Lavina Shirey Schieler. He married Audrey K. Sweigart who predeceased him on September 25, 2011.

Theodore was a 1958 graduate of Olean High School. He served in the US army from October 7, 1958 to January 18, 1962. Theodore worked at Clark Brothers and the Dresser Rand after 40 years in 2002. He moved to Holiday FL in 2003.

Theodore was a member of the Olean VFW, The Elks, The Eagles and the Olean American Legion. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and socializing.

Theodore is survived by two sons, Dennis A. (Becky) Schieler of George Town, TX and Theodore J. (Rhonda) Schieler of Holiday, FL; four grandchildren, Michael, Christina, Megan and Sabrina; and eight great-grandchildren.

Along with his wife, Audrey, Theodore was predeceased by his parents and eight siblings.

Full military honors will be accorded by the Allegany American Legion Charles Harbel Post 892 ritual team, on Wednesday, June 11, 2025 at 11:00am at Mount View Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of the Letro-McIntosh-Spink Funeral Home, Inc., 646 E. State St., Online condolences may be made at www.letromcintoshspinkfuneralhome.com

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Mount View Cemetery, PO Box 1044, Olean, NY 14760.
