Theodore Ray Smith, 91, passed away Thursday, November 20, 2025, at his home in Little Orleans, MD.
Born April 15, 1934, and raised in Purcell, PA, he was the son of the late Cauley and Marie Wigfield Smith.
He was the husband of the late June Cornwell Smith who he married on June 30, 1954, and was married for sixty-nine years.
Theodore was employed with the Department of Natural Resources which he retired from. He enjoyed the outdoors and loved to hunt, camp, being with his loving wife and family, and spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He is survived by five daughters, Rita, married to Kenneth Smoot, Janet, married to Ed Edmonds, Donna, married to Clarence Smith, and Karen, married to Jimmy Dejordy; nine grandchildren, Amanda, married to Justin, Lori, married to Dustin, Jennifer, married to Luke, Robbie, Christopher, married to Chrissy, Kenny and fiancée Samantha, Darryl, Emmie, and Angela; eighteen great-grandchildren, Bridge, Faith, Tyler, Paige, Colton, Dean, Kimberly, Madeline, Bradley, Natalie, Kaitlyn, Tristan, Lincoln, Madchen, Jacobi, Izabelle, Indigo, and Kenai; one step-granddaughter, Amanda; and five step-great grandchildren, Brooke, married to Dylan, Layne, Boone, Harper, Brynlea; siblings, Wayne, Virginia, Lee, and Ivan.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Mary; one grandson, Brian; and one great-granddaughter, Natalee Rose.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, November 25, 2025, from 11:00a.m. to 12:00p.m. at Grove-Rogowski Funeral Home, 141 West Main Street, Hancock, MD 21750, followed by funeral services at 12:00p.m. Pastor Tom Mowry will officiate. Burial will follow services at Fairview Cemetery, 1751 Crooked Run Road, Artemas, PA.
