Theodore “Ted” Casey, age 61, of Hammond, Wisconsin, passed away unexpectedly and quickly from cancer on May 26, 2025.
He was born in St. Paul, Minnesota, on October 3, 1963.
Ted was known for his quick wit, strong work ethic, and deep love for the outdoors. He brought that same work ethic to his role at the Minnesota Department of Transportation. Ted found joy in all things on the water. Fishing, boating, and water skiing. He loved hunting and playing hockey in his younger years. Ted was known as a devoted Vizsla dog owner and a quiet, steady presence in his family’s life. Ted valued simplicity, privacy, and those he loved most.
Preceded in death by his father William Casey; and his two Vizsla companions, Maisie and Penny.
Survived by his mother Barbara Casey brother and sisters Milissa Casey, Tom (Amy) Casey, Laura Casey ( Rick Bradbury), Elizabeth Casey (Thomas Patrick), Karen Casey-Bignell (Jason); and many nieces and nephews. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
Visitation Thursday, June 5th 4:30 PM to 7:30 PM at the O’Connell Family Funeral Home in Baldwin.
