Theresa Doubleday passed away at St. Josephs Living Center 14 Club Rd in Windham Ct on 8/16/25. Theresa was born on August 20, 1931 in Taftville and resided in Occum during her final years

She retired from the Norwich State Hospital after many years of service as a supervisor on different wards.

She is survived by her son Walter, his wife Ann, granddaughter Brandy her 3 children, Dustin, Ollie and Leif, granddaughter Jessica, grandson William his wife Jessica and their daughter Meadow Rose. She is also survived by her brother Roger Lemire. She leaves many loved nieces and nephews, especially her Goddaughter Annie who was always there for her. She leaves her very good friend and neighbor Joyce Rushford who was so helpful in getting her mail and many other small, but very helpful tasks that she was not able to do for herself.

She was predeceased by her father Joseph Lemire and mother Rose Breault, brothers Wilfred, Raaymond, George and sisters Doris and Mother Mary Anthony of the Sisters of Charity.

We would like to thank all the nurses, aides and staff at St. Joseph Living Center for the wonderful assistance they provided for her..

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Joseph's Church in Occum on Monday 8/25 at 10:00AM. Burial to follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery Norwich.

In lieu of flowers please send donations to the Sisters of Charity in Baltic, CT.
