Obituary of Theresa M. Dziura
Mrs. Theresa M. Dziura, 90, formerly of Utica passed away peacefully at the Presbyterian Home with her loving family at her side.
Theresa was born in Utica, NY on November 5, 1933, daughter of the late Hector and Bridgette (Julian) Caponera. She was raised in west Utica and educated in Utica schools. On April 14, 1951, Theresa was united in marriage to John (Oskie) Dziura at Sacred Heart Church, a loving and devoted union of 67 years. Mr. Dziura predeceased her on November 28, 2018. Theresa was a loving, dedicated and caring wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother and enjoyed being a homemaker. Theresa was employed at one time at Lincoln School, Utica as a teachers aid. Theresa loved her crossword puzzles, listening to her opera music and most of all singing with her late sisters Eleanor and Dolores.
Mrs. Dziura is survived by her sons John Dziura and his wife Valerie, Cleveland, NY, Steven Dziura and his wife Brenda, Clinton, NY, daughter Deborah Manning, Yorkville, NY, along with 6 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents Hector, Bridgette, husband John, 2 sisters Eleanor Fellone, Dolores Usyk, 2 brothers John and Raymond Caponera.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to pay their respects on Monday, July 8, 2024, from 5-7PM at Heintz Funeral Service Inc., 1517 Whitesboro Street, Utica, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday, July 9, 2024, from Church of the Annunciation, 7616 East South Street, Clinton, NY, at 10AM, with Monsignor Lang officiating. She will be laid to rest with husband John in Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Whitesboro.
