Maria Dziura, a dedicated philanthropist and cherished matriarch, passed away peacefully at home on October 1, 2025, at the age of 98. Born on November 6, 1926, in Poland, Maria's journey was defined by her unwavering commitment to helping others and the profound love she had for her family.

Her legacy as a philanthropist was unparalleled, showcasing her incredible passion for aiding the less fortunate. Through her dynamic spirit, Maria orchestrated fundraising efforts that spanned the airwaves of Polish radio and television, tirelessly working to secure financial assistance primarily for those in her beloved homeland, Poland. Her relentless drive resulted in significant support for countless individuals and families over the years, leaving an indelible mark on her community.

Family was the cornerstone of Maria's life and her proudest accomplishment. She is survived by her devoted daughter Bozena (the late Zbigniew) Lupa, along with her loving granddaughters Karolina Lupa and Arleta Maria (Marty) Conaway. Her joy multiplied with the addition of her great-grandchildren, Maryah Lupa, John Mark Mobley and Randy Mallett Jr., who brought her immeasurable happiness. She also cherished her sister, Janina (John) Wiacek.

Maria was preceded in death by her beloved husband, John Dziura, and suffered the loss of her grandson, Bartlomiej (Katarzyna Sakowicz) Lupa, Pawel Dziura, and granddaughter Ania Dziura, along with three sisters and one brother. Each loss burdened her heart, but she carried the memories of her loved ones with grace and strength.

Visitation will be held on Friday, October 10, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Woodlawn Funeral Home, 7750 W. Cermak in Forest Park, IL. A second visitation will take place on Saturday, October 11, 2025, from 9:30 AM to 10:00 AM at Holy Guardian Angels Parish (St. Barbara Church), 4008 Prairie Avenue in Brookfield, where a Mass of Christian Burial honoring her memory will commence at 10:00 AM following the visitation. Interment will be private in her homeland of Poland.

Maria Dziura will be remembered not only for her philanthropic endeavors but also for the warmth and kindness she imparted to all who crossed her path. Her spirit will continue to shine through the lives she touched and the family she loved beyond measure.
