Theresa Henry

Theresa (nee Trippodo) Henry, a resident of New Rochelle passed away at home on May 22, 2023, at age 97 with her son Gerard and daughter Kathleen at her side. Theresa was born on October 19, 1925, to Italian immigrant parents, Atilio (Louis) Tripedo and Madelina Capriano who, as children, arrived in the US through Ellis Island. She married Martin Henry, a young honorably discharged Army Air Force sergeant, after World War II and celebrated 25 anniversaries until his death in 1977. Theresa worked as an executive secretary after high school and during the early years of her marriage. She was creative and fun, yet very private. She loved to decorate, prepare meals, run a clean, tidy and efficient household and talk on the phone with her sister Rae. She also believed that simple things were important, such as wearing cheerful colors on a rainy day. Even in her final weeks, her mind and memory were sharper than those of us who were much younger. She never used a calculator. She accurately figured out all mathematical computations, decimals, percents, fractions, and percentage yields of bank rates either mentally or with a pencil and a sheet of paper. She is predeceased by her beloved husband, Martin and her beloved sister Rae Esposito.
