Theresa L Judd

Theresa L. Judd, 93, of East Haven, passed away peacefully on November 2, 2025. She was born on January 2, 1933, in New Haven, CT to Timothy and Catherine (Keane) Luddy.

Theresa is survived by her loving nephews, Harvey (Jamie) Judd, Timothy (Heather) Judd both of Branford, and Frederick W. Judd Jr. (Ann) of North Haven. She is also survived by her great-nieces and nephews: Bridget Scully (Andrew), Sean Judd, Shannon Judd, Matthew Judd, Jake Judd, Kiernan Judd, and Andrew Scully Jr.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Sheldon T. Judd; her parents; and her four sisters, Alice Miller, Catherine Judd (Frederick W. Judd Sr.), Josephine Luddy, and Mary Luddy. She was also predeceased by her nephews Ronald L. Judd and Russell Judd.

Theresa, affectionally referred to as "Aunt Tess" or "Tessy", cared for her loving family faithfully throughout her life. She was the proud family historian and enjoyed sharing the family tales and lineage from Ireland. She worked at Yale University for 30 years, taking care of Harkness Dormitory alongside her husband.

The family would like to thank the nursing staff and doctors at Yale New Haven Hospital in the ICU and on 7-5 for the compassionate care she received over the last few months.

Family will receive friends on MONDAY November 10 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at 12:00 p.m. on at East Haven Memorial Funeral Home, 425 Main St., East Haven, CT 06512. Burial will take place at East Lawn Cemetery in East Haven, where she will be laid to rest next to her loving husband, directly following the service.
