Theresa Kriley Obituary

Theresa Ann Thramer Kriley, 64, of Council Bluffs, passed away peacefully into heavenly eternity on October 4, 2025 at Nebraska Methodist Hospital.

A Visitation with the family will begin at 10 a.m. Friday, October 10 at Cutler-O'Neill-Meyer-Woodring Funeral Home in Council Bluffs. A Rosary and Memorial Service will follow at 11 a.m.

The Memorial Service will be immediately followed by a luncheon at the funeral home. Interment in Calvary Cemetery in Omaha will follow the luncheon.

Theresa was born with a gentle and kind spirit to Albin Eugene and Rita Marie (Potter) Thramer on July 3, 1961 in Omaha, NE. She was raised on an acreage outside Council Bluffs with her four siblings. An active participant in 4-H, volleyball, and many youth activities at Queen of Apostles Catholic Church, Theresa loved being with family and friends. She graduated from Lewis Central High School in 1980 and went on to get a degree from Iowa Western Community College.

Theresa, spent most of her adult life in Council Bluffs where she loved her two children, Adam and Andria very much. In later years she loved having her own home where she never missed her soap operas, Bronco football games, The Waltons and Leave it to Beaver. Nothing made her happier than to have friends or family stop by to visit. Theresa held a special place in her heart for Dave Negrete, a long-time friend who visited often. Her family is grateful for his caring actions and love for Theresa.

Theresa is preceded in death by her parents, grandparents and infant brother, Albin Leo.

Survivors include her children, Adam and Andria; grandsons, Adam Jr. and Rowan; two sisters, Maureen, Regina Nestingen (Carl); two brothers, Mark, Albin Patrick. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews, and many friends – all of whom she loved dearly.

Memorial donations may be made for masses or given to Queen of Apostles Church (now Corpus Christi Catholic Parish) where Theresa was a member and had many friends. As a young child the deep seeds of her faith were planted at Queens and it is where she continued the fulfillment of her faith in God, a sure resurrection, and everlasting life.
