Lafayette: Theresa Gobert Landor, 90 was born on January 24, 1935 to the late Alcee Gobert and Loretta Brown. On July 22, 2025 the Lord welcomed his daughter Theresa into the pearly gates. Theresa was a very loving, caring, and outspoken daughter, mother, sister and grandmother to whomever she encountered. She was such an affectionate and compassionate homemaker to Robert Edmondson for over 40 plus years. Theresa was a very faithful and dedicated Catholic who was a powerful prayer warrior. She loved attending masses at St. Paul Catholic Church, St John Cathedral, St Anthony Catholic Church and The Carmelite Missionary. She also loved weekly visits from the catholic nuns. Before taking sick Theresa loved going shopping at Dollar General, Super One Foods and Rouses. Overall, she loved eating out at Piccadilly with family and friends. Theresa loved cooking and feeding everyone that visited her.
Theresa leaves to mourn yet cherishing her departure with loving memories to her three daughters Nersa "Sista" Landor, Brenda Landor and Sheryl (Kendall) Melancon; also cherished memories to her three sons Russell (Monica) Landor of Portland Oregon, Kenneth (Miranda) Landor and Carl (Kim) Coleman both of Lafayette, La. She also leaves behind two sisters Genevieve Gobert and Theresa Alexander both of Lafayette, La.
Theresa is preceded in death by her parents Alcee Gobert and Loretta Brown; sons Clayton Paul Landor wife (Dabney) and David Landor; brothers Milton, Paul, Dennis, Roger, Clayton, Carlton, Valec, Roy and Stanley Gobert; sisters Mabel Williams, Matilda Dural, Mary Eaglin, Verna Duffy, Verdine Gobert and Eunice Gobert; grandchild Nicole Wildridge Landor; two great grandsons Markeithan "Man" Sparrow and GlenKeithan "Pop" Robertson.
