Theresa “Terry” Ann Moon, 79 of Sterling, died Monday, March 23, 2026, at her home surrounded by her loving family. A private celebration of her life will be held at a later date.
Theresa was born on September 12, 1946, in San Bernadino, California to Ell and Henrietta (Swafford) Henley. She attended schools in California and later obtained her GED. Terry married Bruce Lee Moon Sr., on February 13, 1966, in Duarte, California.
Terry was passionate about helping others and was a personal fitness trainer. She was a faithful servant of Jehovah and will be remembered as being a loving, kind, sweet, forgiving, funny, active, compassionate, welcoming, and brave person and the best mother anyone could have. She enjoyed working out, cleaning and decorating her house and taking care of her house plants.
She was preceded in death by her parents, son Bruce Lee Moon Jr., and great granddaughter Jahseha Jackson.
Terry is survived by her husband Bruce Lee Moon Sr., sisters Kathy (Henley) Jacobson and Barbara Henley; eldest daughter Tatia L. Moon and youngest daughter Tracy A. Montoya; grandchildren Brandi L. Milobar, Briauhnna A. Phelps, Michael A. Phelps II, Marinda A. Escobedo, Mark B. Welch, Tessa R. Shields, and Hezekiah J. Jackson.
She is also survived by her beautiful great grandchildren Ian Milobar, Alexander Milobar, Harloh-Ann Moon, Persha-Roze Moon, Xi’ Myloh Moon, Lilyanne Welch, Remy Welch, Calvin Welch, Marley Erickson, Dior Jackson, Odin Jackson, Prince Jackson, Ziah Jackson and one on the way, Charles Welch.
