Theresa Gonzark Queen, a cherished matriarch and beloved member of her family, passed away on March 29, 2025, at the Smokey Ridge Health and Rehab. Born on June 30, 1927, in Ville-Sur-Tourbe, France, she was a bright light in the lives of all who knew her.
Theresa Queen, our beloved French Queen, was a woman of strength and courage, facing life’s challenges with grace and resilience. She filled our lives with warmth, wisdom, and love, her hands always busy with knitting and her heart always tending to the beauty of flowers. Her passion for cooking, always filling her home with the comforting aromas of homemade meals that brought family together. Though she is no longer with us, her love remains woven into the fabric of our hearts, blooming in every cherished memory. Her French heritage will live on. She will be deeply missed but never forgotten. She was a former member to the Beaver Creek Baptist Church.
Theresa was the proud daughter of Jean Gonzark and Marion Servier Gonzack. She is survived by her devoted daughter Patsy Pittman and her husband Scotty, as well as her sister Nadine Lecrique and her husband George Recors. Her legacy continues through her grandchildren, Kevin Willis and his wife Janet, and Fabienne Dellinger and her husband Chase. Theresa was also a beloved great grandmother, adored by Chase, Madison, Emersyn, and Kamdyn. Additionally, she is survived by her step granddaughter, Teresa Baker. She is also survived by her special neighbor Vanessa Allen.
Theresa was preceded in death by her cherished son Terry Singleton and daughter Alice Singleton, who, along with her parents, Jean and Marion, will be lovingly remembered as part of her enduring spirit.
Throughout her life, Theresa touched many hearts with her kindness and warmth. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends, who will hold her memory close as they reflect on the love and guidance she so generously offered.
In keeping with her wishes no services will be held. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of Smokey Ridge for the care given to Theresa.
